eSeed: They'd Think They Could Beat Me

THEY’D THINK THEY COULD BEAT ME
Read Ephesians 4:27-32

A teacher said, “Billy, if you were always kind to your friends, do you know what they’d think of you?”

“Yeah,” he answered. “They’d think they could beat me.”

But kindness is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Look at our Lord. All nature, all men and women, all angels are subject to His word. He defeated the devil and He conquered death. He’s stronger than the strongest, yet He’s kinder than the kindest.

Make it your rule, and pray to keep it. Never, if possible, go to bed at night without being able to say, “I’ve made someone a little better and happier by being kind today.”

That’s a sign of strength.

Prayer: Father, inspire us always to be kind, always to be helpful, and never to be jealous or envious. Deliver us from being impatient and irritable, selfish and rude: in Thy name. Amen.
