eSeed: Work Hard

WORK HARD
Read Colossians 3:23 TLB

A fellow lost his job and a friend asked why.

He answered, “Foremen don’t work. They just watch others work.”

“But why were you fired?” the friend repeated.

“Jealousy,” replied the fellow. “Others thought I was the foreman.”

Some people are bent by toil, but he was crooked avoiding it.

The Bible dramatically teaches us that laziness distorts our thinking, disquiets our soul, and disturbs our body.

Laziness demoralizes our life, depresses our family, disheartens our friends, and destroys our testimony.

The Bible says, “Work hard and cheerfully at all you do.”

Prayer: Constrain us, Father, to work heartily and happily, so that our work as well as our worship is well pleasing unto thee. Give us strength for hard tasks, wisdom for difficult toil, and grace for everything: through Christ. Amen.
