A wife was bragging to her new maid. “My husband,” she declared, “is the head of our State Militia!”
“I might have guessed it,” said the maid. “He’s got a malicious look.”
What kind of a look do you have?
If you have the Lord within, His loveliness will be seen without.
Your face will reflect blessedness, not bitterness. Your eyes will radiate faith, not fear. Your expression will register affection, not aggression. Your features will reveal kindness, not cruelty.
Let’s pray with the Psalmist, “Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us.”
Prayer: Father, grant that Thy beauty will be seen in our lives and Thy blessedness be spoken by our lips. May our lives and our love be a leading influence on our companions, children and all those that we meet: through Christ. Amen.
