eSeed: No Man Gains Who Gives Up God

NO MAN GAINS WHO GIVES UP GOD
Read Mark 8:34-38

There were many blossoms on our pear tree, and a friend said, “You’re going to have many pears.”

“Maybe,” I replied, “but not all will become pears. Some will fall off.”

That happens to people, too. Look at Judas.

He cast his lot with the Lord. He became a blossom. He was so beautiful that he was chosen treasurer. He worked with Christ, but he never blossomed into a Christian.

Why? He didn’t receive Christ, for he loved silver more than the Savior, and he sold the Lord for thirty pieces of silver.

Did he gain by it? No. He lost his silver and his soul.

No man gains who gives up God.

Prayer: Father, I come to Thee. Receive me and redeem me. Create within me a clean heart, filled with clean thoughts and right desires. Make me willing to obey Thee: in Thy name. Amen.
