eSeed: Turn My Back To The Wind

TURN MY BACK TO THE WIND
Read Psalm 29:7-11

A tramp was asked, “When you wake up in the morning, how do you shape your course?”

“I always turn my back to the wind,” he replied.

Where he went made no difference. He refused to buck the wind. He took the path of least resistance.

But following the line of least resistance leads to confusion, crookedness and collapse. Following the Lord leads to a clear conscience, a clean character and the comforts of the celestial city.

The Psalmist prayed, “Teach me, O Lord, the way.”

To know and go in the Lord’s way – nothing more, nothing less, nothing else – brings joy here and hereafter.

Prayer: We thank Thee, Father, that in coming to Thee we have happiness here and heaven hereafter. We acknowledge that the manifestations of Thy grace and goodness are more than we deserve: in Christ. Amen.
