THIS IS A TEST
Read James 1:2-12 TLB

Last week I heard a radio announcer say, “This is a test!” Then he told us what to do in case of an emergency.

Yesterday when trials pierced my heart and troubles pained my soul, it seemed that I could hear the heavenly Announcer say, “This is a test.”

Satan tempts us to bring out the worst, but the Savior tests us to bring out the best.

Trials are sent to develop us, not destroy us; to make us grow, not grovel; to help us soar, not sink.

The Living Bible says, “Happy is the man who doesn’t give in and do wrong when he is tempted, for afterwards he will get as his reward the crown of life that God has promised those who love Him.”

Prayer: Oh God, Thou art our Defense and Deliverer. Deliver us, we pray, from the tempter and temptations. Grant that in Thy power we will accept the right and refuse the wrong, and always be overcomers: through Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
