eSeed: Little Ones

LITTLE ONES
Read Matthew 19:13-15 TLB
A lion, they say, became enmeshed in a net on the edge of the jungle. Hearing of his plight, an elephant appeared, followed by a hippopotamus and a rhinoceros.

They paraded and pondered, but left the lion in a lurch.

Just then a little mouse began to gnaw on the rope. He finally loosed it and freed the king of the jungle.

The moral? Don’t despise the little ones.

When our Lord fed the five thousand, He used a lad and his lunch. When He taught His disciples a lesson on humility, He used a child.

He said, “Let the little children come to Me, and don’t prevent them. For of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.”

Prayer: Deliver us, Father, from pride and pretense. Save us from haughtiness and hypocrisy. Help us to humble ourselves and to be holy, happy Christians: in Christ. Amen.
