MY FAMILY’S A REPUBLIC
Read Colossians 3:18-20 NIV

A man said, "My family’s a republic. My wife’s the Minister of Religion, my mother-in-law’s the Secretary of War, my son’s the Secretary of Transportation, and I’m the Secretary of Labor."

But in the happy home the husband’s the king, the wife’s the queen, each daughter is a princess, and each son a prince.

They love loyally, forgive freely, speak sweetly, pray passionately, search the Scriptures steadily, and come to church consistently.

The Bible says, "Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them. Children, obey your parents in everything."

Prayer: Keep us, Father, from the sins that divide and destroy our families. Inspire us to give and forgive, to speak love and to show love. Fill us with gentleness and goodness, and compassion and courtesy. Guide us to obey Thee: through Christ. Amen.
