NOTHIN’ HAPPENIN’
Read 2 Corinthians 5:21

A young priest was hearing confessions during a Nebraska-Missouri football game. When a fellow had finished confession, the priest said, “Since you’re painting the church, will you come back in now and then and keep me posted on the Nebraska team?”

“Yes,” he promised.

Later, the priest slid open the confessional grille, and heard, “Father, my last confession was ten minutes ago. Since then I ain’t done nothin’, and neither has Nebraska.”

We may have gone a few minutes without doing anything wrong, but Jesus was perfect in thought, word, and deed.

A Jesus born in sin or guilty of sin couldn’t have atoned for our sins. Behold Him and believe on Him, won’t you?

Prayer: Father, I surrender myself to Thee. Take me, change me, turn me in Thy will and way, and never let me go back again: through Christ. Amen.
