eSeed: Outlived My Enemies

OUTLIVED MY ENEMIES
Read Matthew 5:43-48

A reporter asked a man, “How old are you?”

“Ninety,” the man replied, “and I don’t have an enemy in the world.”

“Beautiful,” said the reporter. “What’s your secret?”

“I outlived them all,” he explained.

But it’s not a matter of outliving your enemies; it’s outloving them. The Bible says, “Love your enemies.”

No matter what a person may do to you, don’t allow yourself to desire anything but his highest good. Is he cruel to you? Be kind to him. Does he hate you? Love him.

This love isn’t something of the head but of the heart. When you become a Christian, the Lord fills your heart with His love.

Give in to the Lord, won’t you?

Prayer: Father, constrain us to love Thee and others as Thou dost love us – willingly and wholeheartedly: in Thy name. Amen.
