A neighbor asked a little girl, “Why are you working so hard?”

“Mom’s having a prayer meeting in our home,” she answered.

Later on he asked, “How was the prayer meeting?”

“Great!” she said. “Our house was full. And we’re expecting more tonight.”

“You’re teasing,” he replied. “How can you seat more?”

“I’m taking out some of my junk,” she explained.

You can never have more of the Lord. But He can have more of you. Let Him cleanse your heart and cast out everything that displeases Him.

It’s His desire to have more and more of your heart. The more of your heart He has, the more of His holiness you’ll have.

Prayer: Help us, Father, to resist the temptations to waste our time, our talents and our treasures. Reign supreme within our hearts: in Christ. Amen.
