eSeed: Shine!

SHINE!
Read Matthew 5:16 NKJ

A tourist was walking down a street in London, enjoying the sights. Suddenly a boy with a box asked, “May I shine your shoes?”

“Please,” he answered, and he put his foot on the box.

Looking at the little fellow, he asked, “Son, what’s the best word in the English language?”

“Shine,” he answered.

Our Lord had a liking for that word too. He said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

The word “good” means to be charming as well as correct, pleasant as well as precise.

Is there a winsomeness in your goodness?

Prayer: We long, Father, to reveal Thy love and likeness by our lips and our lives. Grant that the thoughts of our minds and the meditations of our hearts may be shaped by Thy Scriptures and guided by Thy grace: through Christ. Amen.
