eSeed: Start With Your Room

Read Mark 5:19

“I’m going to be a political science major,” said a boy to his mother, “so I can clean up the mess in the world.”

“Good!” she answered. “You can go upstairs and start with your own room.”

Christianity, like cleanliness, should begin at home. If your Christianity isn’t any good at home, it isn’t any good anywhere.

Whatever your profession, if your life at home is unclean, your heart is unchanged. If your heart is unchanged, your life isn’t right with God.

But while Christianity should begin at home, it doesn’t stay at home. If it’s real, it will go from heart to heart, from home to home, and from homeland to homeland.

Is your Christianity real?

Prayer: Help us, Father, to make our practice match our profession. Grant that we may never say one thing with our lips and show another thing with our lives: through Christ. Amen.
