A widow cried, “My late husband didn’t love me.”
“But,” asked a friend, “didn’t he give you that diamond ring?”
“Well,” she said, “he had a burial policy – $10,000 for a casket and $5,000 for a stone. This is the stone.”
She got around that. But you can’t get around the first commandment: “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.”
You adore Him or abhor Him. You can’t be neutral.
If you don’t worship Him, you worship that person or pleasure which has first place in your life.
But the Bible says, “This is the way to have eternal life – by knowing you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the One You sent to earth.”
Prayer: We come to Thee, Lord Jesus, believing with all our hearts, and beseeching Thee to make us like Thee. Make our faith to be vital, vocal and victorious: in Thy name. Amen.
