A fellow had a life-changing experience in college. It was such a blessing that he wrote it down, and called it his “Blessed Experience.”
One day the new pastor called on him. “Wife,” he said, “run upstairs and bring down my Blessed Experience.”
She returned, saying, “I’m sorry, but the mice have been in your desk, and have eaten your Blessed Experience.”
If you had a blessing fifteen years ago, and haven’t had one since, forget it. Get an up-to-date experience.
How?
Read the Bible daily. Pray fervently. Witness faithfully. When you draw close to God, He’ll draw close to you.
Prayer: Constrain us, Father, to pray so fervently, to witness so winsomely that we may lead the lost to Thee. Grant that we may grow closer to Thee: through Christ. Amen.
