Trash Me

Read Jeremiah 18:1-6 TLB
A man said to me, “I’ve wrecked my life. I give up!”

“But God hasn’t given up,” I said.

“Prove it,” he cried.

“The Bible tells of a potter,” I answered. “The jar that he was forming didn’t turn out as he wished.”

“So?” he asked.

“He kneaded it into a lump and started again,” I replied.

There’s David. He wrecked his life by lust. But God started again, and the destroyer of lives became the deliverer of lives.

There’s Peter. He wrecked his life by cowardliness. But God started again, and the cowardly person became a courageous preacher.

Why don’t you let God make you into a beautiful person?

Prayer: Save us, Father, from tainted thoughts, wicked words, disobedient deeds, and worldly ways: through Christ. Amen.
