eSeed: Man And The Oyster

MAN AND THE OYSTER
Read 2 Thessalonians 3:6-10

When God made the oyster, He guaranteed his security. He built the oyster a house, a shell for protection.

When hungry, the oyster just opens his shell and in rushes the food.

But when God made man and the maid, He said, “Fill the earth, and subdue it; you are the masters of the fish and birds and all animals.”

Then He gave man seed-bearing plants and fruit trees, and said, “Farm the ground.”

And the Bible adds, “Work for your living. He who does not work shall not eat.”

God meant for us to aspire and then to perspire, to hope and then hop to it.

Prayer: Deliver us, heavenly Father, from being lazy in our work, lukewarm in our worship, and loveless in our ways. Save us from all idleness and iniquity. Inspire us to grow, to glow, and to go for Thee: through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
