eSeed: I Decided To Please Myself

I DECIDED TO PLEASE MYSELF
Read Psalm 32
A minister said to a man who was having trouble with drink, “The last time I saw you, you pleased me by being sober.”
“Yea,” he admitted, “but today I decided to please myself by being drunk.” But he added, “I’m not pleased with myself.”

Sin not only makes you a shame to yourself, but ashamed of yourself.

But don’t try to deal with your sin alone. You’ll lose. Come to Christ, let Him deal with your sin and you’ll win.

He doesn’t make an allowance for sin, He makes an atonement. He doesn’t tolerate it, He takes it away. Sin is strong, but the Savior is stronger.

Why don’t you let Him take away your sin?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, wrap Thy arms round about us. We have been overcome by sin, make us overcomers. Cleanse our lives; purge our minds; purify our hearts; and use us: through Christ. Amen.
