eSeed: Open Up Or Blow Up

Read Ephesians 4:1-3 TLB

A man said to his pastor, “I’m going to divorce my wife.”

“Got any grounds?” he asked.

“Ten acres,” said the parishioner.

“What I mean is,” continued the pastor, “does she beat you up?”

“Nope,” he answered, “I get up before she does.”

“Does she whine a lot?” wondered the minister.

“She’s a teetotaler. We just don’t communicate.”

You must talk it out with each other, or you’ll take it out on each other. If you bottle up, you’ll blow up. So open up. Wonderful things will happen in your home if you’ll pray passionately, live loyally, and converse cheerfully.

The Living Bible says, “Be gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.”

Prayer: Make our homes, Father, heavenly and happy. Help us to banish all malice and meanness from our hearts and homes: in Christ. Amen.
