Suffering For Her Belief

Read 1 Peter 4:12-19

A wife said to her husband, “Our daughter’s suffering for her belief.”

“What belief is that?” he asked.

“She believes that she can wear a size five shoe on a size eight foot,” she answered.

Have you ever suffered from your belief in the Lord? It’s the way of the world to praise dead saints, but to persecute living saints.

But suffering for the Lord isn’t when you’re buffeted for doing wrong. But when you’re good and godly, honest and holy.

Remember, if it’s God’s will, it’s better to suffer for doing good than for doing wrong.

So keep on doing what’s right, and trust yourself to God. He’ll never fail you.

Prayer: Father, cleanse the thoughts of our hearts that we may more perfectly trust Thee and more worthily walk in Thy ways. Strengthen our weaknesses and calm our anxieties: through Christ. Amen.
