THE WINNER

Read 1 John 3:5
A preacher saw a gang of boys sitting around a dog. “What are you boys doing?” he asked.
“Telling lies,” answered one. “The one who tells the biggest lie gets the dog.”
“Shame on you,” said the preacher. “When I was a boy, I never told a lie.”
“Give him the dog,” said a boy. “He’s the winner.”
There has been one, and only one, sinless person, and that One is the Lord Jesus.
His life, which began without sin, was preserved without sin.
Coming in contact with impurity, He was always pure. Touching sinful men, He remained sinless. Though perfectly human, He was a perfect human.
Yes, Jesus is God’s perfect Man and man’s perfect God.
Prayer: We choose Thee, Lord Jesus, to be our Savior. May we never be fickle, but always faithful; never cowardly, but always courageous. Make us good and gracious Christians: in Christ. Amen.
