DISADVANTAGE TO AN ADVANTAGE

Toscanini was very nearsighted. To play his cello, he had to bury his face in his music. So he memorized his part, and the part for every instrument.
One night the conductor became ill, and nineteen-year-old Toscanini was called to direct the orchestra. He was so good that he was chosen to be the permanent conductor.
Toscanini turned his stumbling block into a stepping stone, and became the greatest of all conductors.
Got a difficulty? It’s not to destroy you, but to develop you. Trust God. He’ll give you the power to turn your disadvantage into an advantage, and your grief will become your glory.
Prayer: Help us, Father, to walk today with hope and happiness. Help us never to give in to doubt and despair, never to flirt with temptation, and never to let our eyes linger or our thoughts dwell on sin: through Christ. Amen.
