Read Luke 6:44 TLB
A man had been brought before the judge and charged with public drunkeness. The judge asked the policeman, “How do you know this man was drunk?”
“Your honor, “ he said, “when I came up to him he had just dropped a penny in the mail box, and he was looking up at the church clock, muttering, ‘Gee, I’ve lost 11 pounds.’”
You advertise what you are by where you go, what you do, and what you say.
What others say of you matters little. But what you say and do matters much.
Long ago our Lord said, “a tree is identified by the kind of fruit it produces.”
“What kind of fruit are you producing?”
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to be, in everything I do and say, a good example to others; constrain me never to do anything which would make it easier for someone else to go wrong: through Christ. Amen.
