eSeed: It Won't Come Sweet

IT WON’T COME SWEET
Read Psalm 119:9-16

A little girl sat at the table, stirring and sipping her tea. Bursting into tears, she cried, “Mom, it won’t come sweet.”

“Did you put sugar in it?” asked the mother.

“Oh, no!” answered the girl. “I forgot.”

This done, the sugar did the rest.

No amount of stirring can make your life sweet. But when you invite the Lord to come into your heart, He makes it sweet.

He gives affection for anger, graciousness for gracelessness, helpfulness for harmfulness.

Sweetness of life is only possible as He who is the Sweetener dwells within your heart.

Tired of stirring in vain? Invite the Lord into your heart, won’t you?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, unlock my heart and come in. Undo my tangles and free me from my evil habits. With Thy pardon, grant the power to overcome sin and not be overcome by sin: in Thy name. Amen.
