A young lady received a telegram from her boyfriend saying, “Got my raise. Will you marry me?”
She wired this response back to him, “Yes! Yes! Willingly. Joyously. Lovingly. Immediately. Yes!”
Catch the enthusiasm? That’s a good response to an invitation from the Lord.
He says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in.”
Won’t you just now say to the Lord, “I will open the door to my heart.”
And wouldn’t it thrill the Lord if you added the words of that girl, “Yes! Yes! Willingly. Joyously. Lovingly. Immediately. Yes!”
Prayer: Father, take over in our lives right now with Thy power. Melt us, mold us, make us the Christians Thou dost want us to be. Inspire us, infill us, instruct us and incline our hearts to serve Thee faithfully: in Christ, our Lord. Amen.
