eSeed: Folly Of Favoritism

FOLLY OF FAVORITISM
Read James 2:8-9 NIV

A boy asked a waitress, “How much is a sundae?”

“Fifty cents,” she answered.

He counted his change, and asked, “How much is plain ice cream?”

“Thirty-five cents,” she replied impatiently, anxious to get to other customers.

“I’ll take the plain,” said the boy.

The waitress served the boy, took his money, and hurried to the other customers.

When the boy left, she returned to clean his table. Beside the empty dish was her tip – two nickels and five pennies.

She kept those coins as a reminder to respect all persons.

The Bible says, “Love your neighbor as yourself…But if you show favoritism, you sin.”

Prayer: Fill our hearts, Father, with Thy love. Enable us to show that we love Thee and all for whom Christ died: in Christ. Amen.
